The renal blood flow is 1200mL/L, with a very rich blood supply, accounting for 20% of cardiac output. As a high perfusion organ, the kidney is one of the more sensitive organs to ischemia-reperfusion. During kidney surgery, kidney transplantation, shock, and extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, varying degrees of ischemia-reperfusion can occur, leading to acute renal failure. This model is a common ischemia-reperfusion injury model.
