Mouse model of deafness
Artificially overexpressing, knocking out, knocking in, or knocking down one or more genes can cultivate a genetically modified mouse model of hearing loss. Topu Biotech utilized knockout of NKCC1 (+/-) and alpha2-Na-K ATPase+/- to screen for a model of deafness and cultivate heterozygotes. Identify the success of the model through tail trimming PCR method.
