Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common clinical disease with a high mortality rate and poor long-term prognosis. It often progresses to chronic kidney disease (CKD) and even end-stage renal disease (ESRD). AKI has become an important public health issue on a global scale. It is reported in the literature that the incidence rate of AKI has increased year by year in recent years, which is related to the aging of the population.


Renal ischemia-reperfusion and drug induction can both cause AKI. Below is a brief introduction to AKI caused by renal ischemia-reperfusion.
